Faith Imagination: Healing Prayer

“Faith Imagination is a way of praying in which we specifically invite God to enter into our experience in a way that we can perceive God’s work in us. We do this in the faith that God want to meet us at our growing edge, or where we are most vulnerable, hurting or scared.”  (Consenting to Grace, Tilda Norberg)

A Prayer

Holy God, there is within us a deep desire to know you.
Let signs seen in the sky and in our world point us to you.
Remind us, though we imagine that we are traveling toward you,
that you have been with us all along.
Draw us toward your light again today, that we may depart by a new way.

A Prayer

Come among us, God.
We are here as your people.
To a place where questions are welcome…
We come as seekers.
To a place where expectation leads to Jesus…
We come as followers.
To a place where prayer is met with Spirit…
We come as petitioners.
To a place where we sense your nearness…
We come as beloved.
Come among us, God.
We are here as your people.
